Brian Drake was born in Long Beach,
California but raised in Tracy, California. He is 29 with a wife and son who is
3 months old named Nathan. They got married in 2012 so they have been married
happily for a little over 4 years now. Although he has a son already, he still
wants to continue to grow his family.
Brian’s mother sadly passed away a
few years ago. Due to they need of helping his father with their tragic loss
and not knowing what to do, he chose to join the military. The branch he chose
to go in was the Army, and the jobs he qualified for were chemical operations
specialist as well as a medic, which is what he said was his favorite choice.
Definitely the most interesting thing Brian did in my eyes was that he was in
charge of putting fuel in George W. Bush’s helicopter.
After serving the Army for two
years, Brian got his anus blown off by shrapnel while sitting in the gunner
seat of a tank. Surviving and being able to receive medical leave after, he
chose to retire early. With that being said, that’s when he chose to come to
Texas State University where he is majoring in Advertising and minoring in
Economics. Brian now receives great benefits and will forever be paid for his
service on top of going to school. He also hopes to graduate next fall and is
undecided if he will try to get a job in the advertising field.
