Meet Judy Prieto

         Judy Prieto, 21, is a senior at Texas State. Prieto is majoring in General Mass Communication with a minor in Studies in Pop Culture. Judy grew up in Midland, TX. and moved to Ft. Worth after 8th grade. Prieto has been at Texas State all four years of college; she plans to graduate by August.

         Prieto co-hosted a segment called “In the Public Interest”, on the radio station KTSW that aired 11 am on Sundays, last spring. Her favorite segment she was a part of was actually the very first episode aired, the Valentine’s Day episode. The segment focused on dating online, being careful with online dating, and good spots to go on dates.

     She is also a member of WCA, Women Communicators of Austin.

Prieto’s favorite T.V. shows are Switched at Birth and Grey’s Anatomy.

She hopes to be able to pursue journalism after she graduates, specifically working for a radio station or print broadcast.
