Meet Kelsey Maxfield

Kelsey Maxfield is a Public Relations major at Texas State University.

This is Maxfield’s second year at Texas State and is part of the Delta Gamma sorority on campus. She enjoys watching movies at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema with friends, as well as at home through Netflix. She loves the comedy and action genres. Her favorite TV shows include Revenge, Vampire Diaries, Dexter and Breaking Bad along with The Office and New Girl. The Mission Impossible movies, Hitch, Bridesmaids, Transformers, and both Pitch Perfect movies are films that Maxfield loves to watch over and over again.

Maxfield has two pets, a border collie named Gus and a tuxedo cat named Ringo, back in her hometown, Plano, Texas.

During a trip to Colorado for church camp at the age of 14, Maxfield fainted in front of a group of people. When she was not feeling any better, she was sent to the hospital. Doctors believed she had developed Leukemia, but after some more research it was found that she had contracted an Adenovirus. The virus only lasted about a week and Maxfield has not had it since.

Over the winter break she helped her older sister Macie with wedding dress shopping. Maxfield is looking forward to her sister’s special day in April.
